Airsled Appliance Movers

Tileprotection.com offers quality product in order to help you with your walk-in tile shower install.  We will be adding the Airsled products onto our website within the next few days.  The Airsled products allow you to move heavy appliances with a flip of a switch on a cushion of air.  Airsleds work with hovercraft technology allow heavy object to float while you push or pull the object to its final destination.  Imagine trying to move a Sub Zero appliance in order to install ceramic tile during an install.  This is a chore that could take hours, however with the airsled you could move that heavy equipment, single handily, within seconds with a flip of the on switch on the blower motor.

There are four models with a lift capacity of 600lbs, 800lbs, 1000lbs, and 1400lbs.

DuPont StoneTech Professional Advanced Grout Sealer

DuPont™ StoneTech® Professional Grout Sealer offers heavy duty protection against most stains. Its main function is to protect grout and make cleaning easier, which it does very effectively. DuPont Grout Sealer will help preserve the natural look of your natural stone and ceramic and porcelain tile. This Grout Sealer is water based, and can be used in both interior and exterior applications.

Application:
  1. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated.
  2. Liberally apply using a paint pad, low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, narrow roller or natural hairbrush, focusing on the grout joints.
  3. Allow sealer to completely penetrate into the grout, 5-15 minutes.
  4. Liberally apply a second coat following steps 2-3.
  5. Wipe up all sealer from the surface of the tile. Use a clean, dry, lint-free, cotton towel or mop to remove excess sealer.
  6. If sealer was not completely wiped off and a residue appears, wipe entire surface with a towel dampened with sealer. Use a white nylon pad to loosen residue and follow with a clean, white absorbent towel to remove.
  7. A full cure is achieved after 24-48 hours; foot traffic may begin in 4 hours. Cover with red rosin paper, if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed.
  8. Clean equipment with water.

Ardex 8 + 9 Waterproofing Membrane and Crack Isolation

Ardex 8+9 is a two-component system consisting of a solvent-free, acrylic-based liquid combined with a Portland cement-based powder. When mixed and applied, these components produce a flexible, waterproof coating that protects moisture-sensitive substrates from water from above and provides an excellent bonding layer for ceramic tile setting materials. 8+9 can be applied with a roller.
